Ready, set, tug!

All dogs generally LOVE to play tug - it gives them a positive outlet for a natural behaviour - using their mouths!

There is a myth that encouraging tugging in play can also serve to encourage aggressive behaviour and/or biting - this is simply not the case.

Dogs, especially bull breeds NEED to use their mouths, so playing tug with a toy is a lot better use for this energy than tugging on your sleeves or mouthing behaviour!

Show me your pups having a play! Whether that's tugging, fetch, squeaky toys - anything!

If you would like to teach your dog how to play nicely including to drop toys or how and when to use toys when out and about then please get in touch at info@bonnydogbehaviour.com
